When we started The Wandering Jewel, we knew one thing: we didn’t want to make average jewelry. We wanted pieces that actually last, feel special, and don’t leave you disappointed after a couple wears.

Because let’s be real — nothing is worse than finding a new favorite piece… only for it to turn your skin green.

That’s why every piece we make is designed with quality and affordability in mind. You shouldn’t have to choose between the two.

The best and most affordable thing to do was use gold-filled products. Gold-filled is different from gold-plated (which is most commonly used) because the gold has to make up 5% of the total weight of the item. It’s 100 times thicker than gold-plated. Gold-filled has the same exact appearance as solid gold, but at a much more affordable cost.

All of our gemstone beads are natural. We loved the idea of creating jewelry with stones that also match the aesthetic we were going for. Not only are the pieces beautiful, but they can also bring spiritual wellness, grounding, emotional stability, and more.

Who We Are

Kaitlyn and Riley started their friendship as coworkers. Shortly after, Riley found another job. Some time passed, and Riley started dating Kaitlyn’s boyfriend’s best friend. Fast forward — they started hanging out as couple friends, and it was a win-win because it turns out they’re both hilarious. They realized, “Wow, we should’ve been friends this whole time.”

Yes, their significant others are best friends, but as individuals, they love each other without their boys.

Our dogs are best friends, our boyfriends are best friends, and now we are best friends. We love handcrafting this jewelry, and we hope you all love it as much as we do.
